Flora
One of the defining aspects of any landscape is the is the vegetation that coats the underlying topography. The assemblage of plant species that occupy an area in correspondence with climate, soil, topography, and other factors serve to generate the textures, colors, and patterns that are characteristic of that area. Thus vegetation provides a dominant piece of any landscape photograph because in some incommensurable sense, ecology provides a palate in aesthetics. By extension, photographs in this collection aim to hone into individual plants and their environments, forms, and intrinsic beauty.
